Lisa Brkich

Choreographic works for the company in collaboration with Christine Brkich include Ordinary Morning, All’s Fair in Love And… The Maestro’s First in A, Conversations With God, Violet’s Garden, and Acquiescence, Such performances took place at Harbourfront Center for the Arts, The Fleck Theatre for Dance Ontario Dance Weekend, The Living Arts Center, The Oakville Center For The Performing Arts, The Montreal Fringe Festival, Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and the Istrian National Theatre in Pula. 

 In 2000 Lisa, together with Christine started InMotion Dance Inc. a dance school focused on performance opportunities and dance technique and education. Through the school the students had the opportunity to perform in Italy, Walt Disney World Florida, and The Royal Caribbean Stars at Sea. 

Recently Lisa’s choreography was seen in collaboration with award winning film director Sibel Guvenc of Kybele Films in the production of One Step Apart premiering at the On Art Film Festival in Poland in 2019, along with End Of The Rope in collaboration with Christine Brkich, premiering at the 38th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April 2020. 

Lisa teaches dance in the Regional Arts Program of Saint Thomas Aquinas Secondary School and is grateful to have collaborated with educators across Ontario when facilitating the Dance Additional Qualification courses for 2 seasons. Lisa is grateful for her journey and looks to bring everything she has learned in performance, technique, artistry and education to this forum and together with her sister Christine she is happy to help change the world one step at a time.
